This year we are once again using an online sign-up program called SignUpGenious. Please go through the
FHS website in July to sign up. Portrait dates are as follows: August 6, 7, 8 (12-8pm) in the Friendswood High School Library.
(Sign up: Aug 6 Aug 7 Aug 8). Chadwick Photography will be taking all senior dress portraits only at this time. There is no
cost to take your pictures. All proofs will be posted on Chadwick Photography’s website www.chadwickphoto.com. Cap &
gown photos will be taken in the spring, after cap and gown delivery is made by Balfour. Portraits are not full length.
Girls MUST wear a nice blouse or a dressy top (tops must cover all undergarments).
Boys MUST wear a starched dress shirt and a tie (a suit or sports coat if possible).
Things to remember: Don’t forget to bring your senior ring and letterman jacket (photos will be taken with each for those who
bring them). Chadwick Photography will have extra ties available. Please only sign up for an appointment time you can make.
You may retake as many times as you would like. If you want your student’s picture in the yearbook,
Chadwick Photography must take the photo. You may select which picture (proof number required; dress photo only) and
turn into Chadwick Photography by December 13, 2023. Link for selection to follow. No exceptions can be made.
The cost of the cap and gown and class stole is $59.95 (plus tax). This amount is due when the order for the
cap and gown is placed. This amount covers a souvenir class stole, cap, tassel and gown. Stole only, if not purchasing cap &
gown is $20 and tassels are $11.95 each (plus tax). Several discounted packages are available including other senior items.
Seniors should order commencement announcements and personal cards during scheduled purchase
dates. Any number of announcements may be ordered. The announcements cost is $2.29 each (plus tax). Announcements can
be purchased in quantity lots of 10 minimum, 20, 30, 40 and 50. Additional items for your announcements including tissue
insert ($10.95), envelope seals ($10.95), and thank you notes ($13.95) will be available as well. Payment in full if less than
$100.00, or a deposit of $100.00 must be made at the time the order is placed. Memory books, diploma keepsakes, as well as
other items for the class of 2025 will also be available. Order forms and brochures will be distributed to seniors at school at the
start of the year through their English class. Samples of senior items will be available for viewing at a Senior Order Night event
on September 4 from 5:00-7:00pm. Cash and credit card will be accepted. Orders can also be placed on-line at
www.balfourgrad.com (available mid-August).
September 4, Wednesday - Senior Panoramic Picture: The senior class will have a panoramic group picture taken during a
special schedule. They may be purchased the following day only during all lunches in the cafeteria.
September 4, Wednesday: Parent Order Night for senior items including cap and gown and announcements (seniors can also order class rings at this time). Freshman mall – senior lot end 5:00-7:00pm. Balfour will return September 5 & 6 during lunches only in the FR mall.
2 December 13, Friday: Deadline for seniors to select picture for yearbook. Must be dress picture (no cap & gown or letter jacket photos) If not chosen by this date; Chadwick Photography will make the selection.
December 20, Friday: Deadline for senior yearbook ads (Ad space is limited; this deadline does not guarantee space).
February 28, Friday: Deadline for senior ambitions. Forms will be passed out during all English classes.
March 5, Wednesday, Lunch: Balfour will deliver announcements and personal cards. Balance must be paid at that time.
Please refer to your receipt for your student’s balance.
March 26, Wednesday, Lunch: The caps & gowns will be issued during lunch on this date. Honor cords may be purchased on a future date in May for $10.00.
May 2, Friday: Deadline to take a college visit.
May 15, Thursday: Rehearsal for the graduation will be held in the Performing Arts Center during an assembly schedule. All
seniors must be present if they plan to participate in the commencement exercises. This is a very important date. Please mark it on your calendar today.
May 18, Sunday: Senior class pictures. Seniors should report to the Girls Gym, in your cap and gown, at 3:30pm for the 2025
Class and 12-Year Senior pictures. A community motivational program, Baccalaureate, will follow in the Performing Arts
Center at 4:00pm. Student attendance is optional.
May 24, Saturday - Commencement: Grace Church Houston. Doors open and students arrive at 12:30pm. Program begins
promptly at 2:00pm and will conclude by 4:00pm.

Limit 2 per school year. Please complete the top portion of the College Campus and Military Visits Information and have all your teachers sign off before your visit to ensure they are aware of your absence. You are required to make up all school work. Turn in the completed form (except for the signatures of the Principal and Attendance) to Principal Griffon’s office prior to your absence.
** You must bring a verification letter (on official letterhead) from the college for your absence to be excused and not count against exemptions.
The deadline for taking a college day is May 2.
