The Friendswood High School Color Guard capped off an unforgettable 2026 season—one defined by growth, consistency, and performing at the highest level of the activity.
The journey began with standout performances across Texas, earning WGI Regional Championship titles in Houston, Austin, and San Antonio, along with a Silver Medal finish in Dallas.
That momentum carried all the way to the WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio, where the nation’s top programs—and international competitors—took the floor.
WGI World Championships – Scholastic A
Out of approximately 134 units nationwide, Friendswood opened with a 2nd place finish in Prelims, immediately establishing themselves among the elite.
They continued to battle through Semifinals, earning a spot in Finals—reserved for the Top 20 programs in the country.
In Finals, Friendswood achieved:
• 9th Place Overall (Scholastic A)
• Score: 91.450
This season wasn’t just about placement—it was about sustained excellence. Competing at this level requires months of dedication, precision, and trust. Finishing in the Top 10 nationally is a reflection of this team’s discipline, resilience, and growth every step of the way.
