SENIOR EVENTS: Masks required for all events!

April 26 - Senior Walk-thru 7:45am - Seniors will arrive at FHS in cap and gown for breakfast provided by the Alumni Association. They will then board buses to visit the lower campuses (Cline/Windsong/Westwood/Bales). They will return to FHS and go to class. 

May 8 - Junior/Senior Prom - Theme is Rio, Rio Carnival 7:00pm - Midnight
*Ticket cost - $45 each for SR & JR
*Ticket sales - Week of May 3-7
*Location - Marriott Marquis Houston, 1777 Walker Street, Houston 77010;  713.654.1777
*Outside guests need a Prom Permission Slip that can be found on this page or in Mr. Griffon's office 
*Virtual students need parent approval to attend prom, emailed to Principal Griffon, prior to purchase of tickets
*All discipline must be cleared to purchase tickets. This includes: fines, fees, make-up hours and d-halls

May 11 - Senior Awards Night - Auditorium 7:00pm 

May 16 - SR Class & 12-year SR pictures - Girls gym
    Seniors will report to the girls gym in their cap and gown at 3:30pm for their Class picture and 12-year senior picture. There is an optional Motivational program immediately following in the Auditorium. 
May 18 - Honor Cord purchasing - during all lunches
   Honor cords will be available for purchase for $10.00 cash or check payable to Balfour on Tuesday, May 18th, during all lunches. Attached is the list of honor cords Balfour sells. Also, individual sponsors are listed that provide/sell honor cords directly. 

May 19 - Graduation practice - Auditorium during a special assembly schedule. All seniors are required to attend and will receive their senior check-out sheets. Check out sheets must be completed before the last day of school, in order to receive a diploma at graduation.
May 19 - Senior Sunset - Natatorium field @ Sunset 

May 21 - Chromebook Return & Senior Field Day - Seniors will meet in the FHS cafeteria to return school issued chromebooks at 8:00am. Seniors will leave from FHS on buses to Stevenson Park. No individual vehicles/drivers; no exceptions. There will be an early bus returning to FHS for Practicum/Work program students.

May 29 - Graduation - Grace Community Church 2:00pm 


GRADUATION: Masks required for entire event!
FHS has confirmed the following information pertaining to the Class of 2021 Graduation ceremony at Grace Community Church on May 29, 2021:

*Grace will open at capacity for graduation on May 29, 2021. 
*Each senior is permitted up to eight (8) guests only. Saved seats will be released at 1:45pm. Seating will be first come, first served. Use the attached form for saving your seats.
*There will not be any social distance seating. There will be a mask mandate. FHS will provide graduates with a new Mustang mask once inside, but please have one on upon arrival to enter the facility. 
*The graduation ceremony will be live-streamed on Facebook, Youtube and the FHS website.
*Doors open to students and parents at 12:30pm. No one will be permitted in before 12:30pm. 
*The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00pm and last approximately two hours. 
*Students will receive their diploma envelope after the graduation ceremony from their row's sponsor. 
*No decorated caps or hair color that is not natural. Young men please wear slacks, collared shirts and ties. Ladies, nice dress or slacks. No flip-flops or sneakers. 

*If you still need a cap and gown, stole and tassel kit, you may purchase it in Principal Griffon's office for $62.00 cash or check payable to Balfour. Single items: Tassel $11/Stole $15/Cap $15.
